PVC connection to a bronze shower drain in a copper pan

I saw an old TOH in an East Boston house where a bronze drain was soldered onto a shower copper pan. I was wondering how that drain was connected to the PVC trap?

Mostly likely they didn't use PVC, I bet they used brass for the drain. That is what I have used in all of our bathrooms to keep them period correct. Besides, I don't like plastic anything in a house.

I think I've worked it out. The bronze drain that solders to the bottom of the pan has an internal 2" IPS thread and a male thrteaded adapter screws into it and that is then glued to the PVC p-trap.
