New to the forum, but didn't see anything like my current problem. We are having issues with our shower maintaining enough hot water. When we moved into the house 6 months ago, the water was getting hot when the handle was at 9 o'clock position. Now, it it jacked up to about 11 o'clock just to get warm, and only inches up slightly to the maximum hot position. Basically, we run out of hot water within 5 minutes.
However, the rest of the sinks in the house still have plenty of hot water. Kitchen sink is fine, Washer is fine, and also the bathroom sink that is on the same wall as the shower...no problems getting hot water after the shower has run cold.
We've adjusted the temp on the valve in the shower, but it's at it's maximum (120 degrees) and cannot be moved any more. We have an electric water heater that is probably about 6 yrs old. I thought it was just the water heater going out, but that doesn't explain why there's still lots of hot water in the other areas of the house?
We remodeled the bathroom when we moved in, so it's a brand new valve (behind the wall), and all new Kohler hardware.
