Can I use liquid membrane to waterproof window in shower?
LtlLori

I have a wood-framed window in my bathroom where I want to put a big shower stall. I'd prefer not to replace with vinyl, and the window doesn't open and close, so I'm wondering if I can paint the trim with something like RedGard and then paint over that with white and call it a day? Any thoughts on whether that will provide enough waterproofing for the window and trim?

I would only use a proper schluter shower bace that way there is no leaks and proper drainage. The shower bace can be installed on top of plywood.
