Home insurance policies keep your mind at ease and your most valuable asset protected. In exchange for a monthly premium, these basic policies can safeguard your home from unexpected events like windstorms and fires, along with vandalism and theft. Without a homeowners insurance policy, you could be on the hook for thousands of dollars of repairs.
It can be tricky finding the best home insurance company for you because not all companies are equal in terms of coverage, quality of customer service, cost, and availability. The This Old House Reviews Team has created this in-depth American Traditions home insurance review to help you determine if the company is the best fit for you and your home.

Customer Reviews of American Traditions Home Insurance
American Traditions is accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and holds an A+ rating from the organization. See what some customers had to say about their experience with American Traditions.
Austin D. said:
“I have had nothing but a great experience with this insurance company. My hail claim was paid without issue and my contact has been professional and helpful throughout. I was able to request a release in order to perform the roofing work myself and Cliff helped facilitate the discussions with management until I received the waiver. Excellent company and I appreciate the service.”
Francesca R. said:
“Since hurricane Irma we have contacted American Traditions many times and on Nov. 10 sent in, as requested, a dispute letter. Shortly thereafter the claim was closed without even the courtesy of a contact. We have called many times to be told that it would be reopened. Today we called and were told that it ‘could not be reopened because it was a mobile home.’ This is an out and out lie. We explained that we were told just last week that it ‘was closed in error and that would be reopened.’ This company obviously stalls and lies in hopes that you will get frustrated and go away. I am 97 years old, live alone and they know it. American Traditions is a senior citizens nightmare.”
