"vintage" anderson window

I have old anderson window I believe from the late 50's in a house we purchased. Trying to decide if they can be saved. They open with a pull toward you and slide along a groove in the window sill to sit in front of the adjacent window, the handle is a large half circle . Right now they not air tight even though they shut "tightly" and except for one window the wood, glass, and hardware are fine. They do have screens that hook on outside but no storms. Inside windows haven't been painted, just wood. Contacted Anderson on line and they call them vintage 1940- 1971 which they don't have parts . Any help or suggestions how to make them more efficient or who / where to get information would be appreciated.
