Plaster Walls Repaired - Best Primer?

Just recently had old plaster walls and ceilings repaired. Cracks and other issues were taped and covered with all purpose joint compound and quick set. Most walls were skimmed. Ceiling had spanish lace texture applied. I was leaning towards a PVA primer. Any issues with this and if so, what would work better? Thanks

PVA primer will work fine or you can use Zinnser's Bullseye 123 (blue label )
