It’s wrap week in Westford, and the team arrives in a classic Model T, a nod to the original homeowners who drove a similar car when they lived here. Outside, they’re greeted by Charlie Silva along with homeowners Charles, Dianne, Emily, and Ethan.
Inside, Emily and Dianne give Kevin O’Connor a tour of the first floor, pointing out the reconfigured nook area and the vintage-inspired decor in both parlors. In the dining room, the equestrian-themed Westford mural is revealed, along with a built-in hutch designed to save space. In the kitchen, they explain how forgoing upper cabinets allowed for larger windows, bringing in more natural light in place of recessed lighting.
Upstairs, Kevin and Emily join Ethan to tour the second floor, including the new primary bedroom, where they share some exciting news with Kevin.
Outside, Charlie and Jenn Nawada go over the exterior updates. These include restoring the original portico and installing maintenance-free composite siding that matches the home’s historic color.
Around the back, Charlie shows Jenn the finished garage door and the exterior of the new greenhouse. Jenn illustrates her upcoming landscaping plans for spring.
On the roof, Tom Silva and Kevin reflect on the progress made since the fire and take a look at the new widow’s walk and metal roof shingles.
Back out behind the house, Charles and Richard Trethewey talk about the new air-to-water heat pump, which handles heating, cooling, and hot water.
They head inside to the basement, where Richard explains how the system works.
Upstairs, they meet Mauro Henrique, who is painting the final touches on the air register outlet to blend in with the tile floor.
The day wraps up with everyone gathering at the central staircase to mark the completion of the Westford project!
