Size of porcelain/ceramic tile for basement laundry/utility room
Anita

I would like to put porcelain or ceramic tile over the cement floor in my basement laundry/utility room that contains our washer and dryer, furnace, and water heater. The room also has a sump pump and floor drain. I've been told by more than one person that the only size floor tile I can install is 6" by 6". I'm hesitant to do so, since this size went out of style long ago. Would it be possible to put wood-look 6" by 24" porcelain tile on the floor?

Anita,

Anything is possible, it all depends on how much money you want to spend. It is your home, do what you like.
