Replace Wall Mount for Exterior Faucet

Hello,

The threads on this wall mount have become damaged and the faucet no longer securely attaches to mount for normal usage.

I called 2 local plumbers and they stated they need to cut into the interior wall of my finished basement to replace this mount.

The 1/2" pipe can be pulled away from the exterior wall. Isn't there a way to replace the mount from the outside

I tried inserting photos from my mobile phone, but they system keeps saying the photos are invalid.
They are .jpg files and they are less then 2MB in size. Anyone know what the problem may be with photo upload?

Upload your photos to a free web sharing site like Photobucket and post the link.

Thanks Jack.

I have attached images to the original post. I just want to replace the mount and maybe the faucet if the ball valve is leaky.

Re: Replace Wall Mount for Exterior Faucet

I would give it a try, I would make no promises but this is what i would do.
1) pull hose tap out of the wall as far as possible
2) instal a needle nose vice grip pliers locked on the pipe right up against the wall.
3) open hose tap and heat with turbo torch
4) twist the old tap off once it got hot enough.
5) clean of pipe sticking out of the wall
6) install and solder new hose tap.
7) open up water and check for leaks.
8) secure the hose tap on the wall with screws.
