Has any company come up with a really good kitchen sink strainer? It is annoying to either not have the strainer completely keep water in the sink or while doing dishes to have a spoon or other piece bump the strainer and let the water out. It is the one most annoying things to deal with almost every time I fill up the sink to do dishes. The sink is not very old and it is a good brand so it's not just that it's old or cheap.

Kindred steel queen makes the best one that i know of, you have to give it a twist to unlock it.

You can buy the GD plug (stopper) alone

I don't know about this particular one, but I've seen a different sort of the problem with the twist-in strainers.

You put it in tight, then fill the sink with hot water, and the heat causes the stem to expand, which causes it to start leaking. So you tighten it some more. After the water cools off, so does the stem, which shrinks and causes the stopper to bind up and it is a BEAR to remove.

But other than that minor inconvenience, they work great.
