Kitchen drain lowered

Just installed a new granite countertop with a deeper sink. My drain is now much lower than the original. The j-bend does not reach the elbow coming from the wall. How can I make it work?

Re: Kitchen drain lowered

I usually rough in kitchen sink drains 13 inches from the finished floor. This is good for a double sink with a garburator with dishwasher connected to the garburator. That being said if your drain is too high then open the wall where the drain is an lower the TY connection so that the centre of the drain pipe is 13
inches from the finished floor. I understand that this could be very difficult. but if the drain is too high the drain will not empty 100% and debris will accumulate in the drain . Open the wall first and check i out.

Thanks, I'll look into that.
