Wiring a Ceiling Fan mounted on Concrete

I mounted the fan on the Flexcore concrete ceiling, I have wire channel that will run to the wall, and I don't want to run down the wall to a socket at the floor. Rather, I want to run to a socket on the otherside of the wall in the bathroom. My problem is getting from the ceiling, through the molding into the wall and across a stud to the socket. The only thing I can think of is to cut two holes in the opposite drywall. One at the top that would allow me to pull the conduit/wire down through the top plate, and the other across the stud to the socket. Once the drywall is opened, a through stud hole is drilled to get the wire to the back of the socket box. Connect the wiring and patch the drywall.
Am I on the right track or is there a better way?

Re: Wiring a Ceiling Fan mounted on Concrete

Sounds pretty much like standard proceedure.

If you want to get your wire across the wall to the bathroom, do as you describe. There is no better way to do it.
