Old house with plumbing problems

Our house is about 75 years old. When someone is taking a shower and someone else uses water anywhere else in the house, the shower water will change to cold or very hot. The pressure doesn't change, just the temp. Is there anything we can do to correct the problem?

install a new shower valve. all new shower valves are pressure balanced to avoid this problem. i'm assuming that you have the old fashioned hot water valve on the left, cold water valve on the right and a diverter in the middle to switch between shower and tub. they make a kit designed to replace those old valves without having to redo the entire tub surround.

Replace the tub/shower faucet with a pressure-balancing variety.

There is no solution for a tub/shower faucet that doesn't have that feature.

or a thermostatic valve
