Concrete Caulk & Seal

I just finished pressure washing our concrete patio. I want to next caulk joints and seal the concrete. Is there any difference in the order that I caulk and seal? I've heard advice both ways. I figured with the freshly cleaned concrete this would be the time to seal and then caulk joints. But will the caulk hold as well if there is sealer in the joints?

Re: Concrete Caulk & Seal

I would think after cleaning the concrete, the caulk would most likely adhere to the concrete better without the sealer, especially if is a wax product like Waterseal.
Pick out the caulk & see what the manufacturer recommends. Some concrete caulks work best with a primer. Make sure the sealer won't effect the caulk.
