Recognizing that storm windows—both interior and exterior—can markedly reduce drafts and home heating and cooling costs, Energy Star has established a new program to certify products that meet basic standards for air infiltration, solar transmission, and emissivity (heat reflection). So far, those made by Larson Manufacturing and Quanta Technologies have made the grade.
