Dear Insiders,
As you may know, Norm Abram announced in May that he is hanging up his toolbelt. To give him a proper sendoff, we will be pre-releasing the one-hour tribute special, The House that Norm Built, to Insiders on September 29th. Norm has been a special part of the This Old House family, and we will certainly miss him.
Along with Norm’s departure, the New Yankee Workshop license agreement is expiring soon, which means members of This Old House Insider will no longer be able to watch New Yankee Workshop or download NYW plans through Insider as of September 6, 2022 at 12:00am.
However, we do have some great news! We will be expanding our Insider Discount Hub to include a digital content library of brand-new project plans and how-to videos. Within this new digital library, members can browse a fresh selection of today’s furniture styles from prolific, skilled artisans from our Makers Channel, and learn how to build pieces from scratch by following along. You can expect to hear from us in early September with more information about how you can access this new library.
Our Makers, many of whom are on YouTube and This Old House Makers (streaming free on The Roku Channel), grew up with and have been inspired by New Yankee Workshop. These new project plans and videos will be different than Norm’s but also reminiscent of his format and useful in the workshop.
And don’t forget – be sure to binge New Yankee Workshop episodes through September 6 at 12:00am!
