Q: We have built a two-story garage with an open room on the second
floor, which was designed to have an 8-foot ceiling. We have just
finished insulating the walls and would like to do something to expand
the ceiling height on the second floor. The roof is constructed with
2x4-foot trusses, 24 inches on center with a 5/12 pitch. At this point,
would it be possible to convert to a cathedral ceiling?
