A select group of This Old House Insiders—Danny Burns, Carolyn Burns, and David Best—won the exclusive opportunity to attend a wrap party at the Glen Ridge, NJ project house. These fortunate fans mingled with the cast and crew who worked on-site, enjoyed a guided tour of the beautifully renovated home, and participated in a photo shoot with some of the show’s beloved cast members.

The Glen Ridge wrap party continues a long-standing This Old House tradition of celebrating project completions with the homeowners, cast, crew, and fans. These events have become a hallmark of the Insider experience — much like the VIP preview of the 2019 Idea House, where a small group of Insiders gathered at a 7,800-square-foot Greek Revival in New Canaan, CT, to mingle with Norm, Tom, and Rich before doors opened to the public.
The Glen Ridge project was a massive undertaking — an 1887 Victorian that required rebuilding nearly all of the interior after the first phase of demolition revealed extensive damage. As host Kevin O’Connor noted at the wrap, he has a personal connection to the town: “I love this town,” he said, to which Tom replied, “Well, that’s because you’re from here, sonny.”
The Glen Ridge Generational project house, featured in Season 42 of This Old House, showcases the transformation of a classic 1907 Dutch Colonial Revival. This season highlights the meticulous restoration, blending modern amenities with the home’s charming original details.
Insiders arrived at the exquisitely restored house, eager to explore the renovations firsthand. Throughout the event, cast and crew members shared behind-the-scenes stories from the renovation process, providing a glimpse into the challenges and triumphs of the project. The Insiders also had the opportunity to meet and chat with homeowners Sunita and Shankar Chaudhuri, who shared their experiences and satisfaction with the renovation.

Family, friends, and fans toured the property, admiring the meticulously restored woodwork and the modernized kitchen that seamlessly blends old-world charm with contemporary design.
Join us in celebrating the successful renovation of the Glen Ridge project house with these memorable moments from our exclusive wrap party!
