From glass canopy range hoods to real rain showers, hands-free faucets, cordless compressors, electric riding lawn mowers, and home security cameras, This Old House releases its picks for the year’s most innovative home products
Stamford, CT (October 16, 2017) —The This Old House Top 100 Best New Products List is out today online and in the November/December issue of the magazine, on newsstands October 20th. It represents this year’s best new home products that have been researched, tested, and reviewed by the expert editors of This Old House. The list represents a year of editorial scouting in six categories: Kitchen, Bath, Tools, Home Tech, Outdoor, and Building Products.
Each product has been selected with several criteria in mind: How do we make the lives of our readers easier? What is the most intuitive, tech-forward product that adds value and joy to household to-dos? How is this product changing the home industry? Is it accessible and convenient?
"I’m often asked, 'What does it take to make it onto the This Old House Top 100 Best New Home Products List?,'" says This Old House Editor-In-Chief Susan Wyland. “The answer is, 'How is your product moving the home industry forward for consumers and trade? What is innovative about it? Where does new technology come into play? Is it intuitive and easy to use? How is it best in class?' This is a longer conversation, one that you can look forward to us continuing.'”
