Apprentice Diaries: Tom’s Tips for Resting a Plane

TOH general contractor Tom Silva teaches Bailey that it’s best to rest a plane on its side when the tool is not in use. “You never know if there’s a screw or a nail, and any little piece of metal will break the edge,” Tommy says. “And then you’ll have to sharpen the plane.”
