Operating a Blower Door
During an energy audit in a home weatherization, once the house is prepared it's time to turn on the fan
As the blower-door fan sucks air out of a house, it also pulls air into the house through all the gaps and leaks in the building's shell. A manometer, attached to the blower door, show how much air is being pulled into the home. Along with measuring the amount of air pulled through a house, the blower door test can also pinpoint the locations of the gaps and leaks.
