Our friends at Sherwin-Williams used Emerald® Interior Acrylic Latex Paint in colors Alabaster SW 7008 and Tricorn Black SW 6258 to get the look. Read on to learn how to create this DIY gallery wall.

Budget-Friendly Art Tip: For affordable gallery wall prints, consider public-domain art sources. Homeowner Lauren Shaver found success using the Biodiversity Heritage Library (flickr.com/biodivlibrary), which offers an enormous cache of rights-free images of flora and fauna. Download your favorites—choose “original size” to get the largest file—and print them at an office supply store with a blueprint printer. Also called engineering prints, these are an inexpensive option for scaled-up drawings. Lauren’s conifer prints measured 16 by 20 inches, and she plans to swap them seasonally—bulbs and blooms for spring, evergreens for winter.
The first step is to prep and paint the entire wall. Next, tape off and paint the gallery wall section and molding pieces. Lastly, adhere the molding to the wall and add photos, painting, or artwork.

Seasonal Swap Strategy: One of the best things about a gallery wall is that it doesn’t have to be permanent. As homeowner Lauren Shaver demonstrates, you can set a seasonal scene right inside the door—hang cold-weather botanical prints for winter, then swap in spring florals when the weather turns. It keeps your entryway feeling fresh without a full redesign.
