Wooden Vanity Countertop

I am thinking of replacing my bathroom vanity with a more custom piece of furniture. I am wanting to have a wooden countertop. Has anyone had experience with wooden bathroom countertops? Are there any products that you have used to seal the wood and how has it held up?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTS!

I use a good polyurethane . The main thing to remember is to seal all sides including the cutouts. With a little buffing it can be top coated as the need arises. My experience has been about every 3 years. A lot of people recommend epoxy coating but I have found that it is to hard to repair if there is damage or to remove if you wish to refinish. JMHO
