I read this article and am trying to find a waterproof, paintable wood preservative. It's an impossible mission so far.
Does anyone out there know the name of a product like this? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
I too read the same article and am looking for the same - paintable water-repellent preservative. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I've found that Wolman makes a few products that are in the same catagory as what is described in the article. Some are oil based, so for me in PA, it's a no-go. They do have one that looks like I should be able to get it here, as it's water based: Woodlife Classic Clear Wood Preservative. There's another product, called Cuprinol, that looks similar, but I haven't been able to find a web site that shows it's availability in the US - mostly it's talked about in the UK. It IS a Sherwin-Williams product though, and I haven't made it to the store to see if they have it or can get it.
