Window over the bath tub

In this old house, the bathroom tub/shower has a window over the tub. The wooden frame and molding need to be repainted. What kind of paint would stand up to regular showers and be save? My husband is 6'6" and he doesn't do tub baths!!

Re: Window over the bath tub

I'd sand the old door jamb down and use an oil based enamel. It should be pretty durable and give you a nice finish. Gloss or semi gloss would work well for that application.

The really important part of the job will be the sanding. Make sure you do a pretty good job, to make sure the new paint will stick to the old surface. Use 120 or 150 grit paper and you'll be fine.

Good Luck.
