Whole House Humidifier for hi Eff. Rheem funrnace?

Hi- looking for a recommendation on adding a whole house humidifier to a Rheem hi eff. furnace. Any gotcha's to be aware of? brands to look for?

I do not have a floor drain close. can i tap into the condensate pump on the furnace if needed? (do they need a drain?)

If this is a direct vent furnace --- are you sure you need a humidifer ?
Quite often when a direct vented high efficeint furnace is used the inside RH is high enough.

A flow - through type of humidifier work well. Unfortunately they do require some sort of drain. If you use the furnace condensate pump for the humidifier drain -- beware --- any minerals in the water will tend to wear out the condensate pump.
