I was thinking about whitewashing a stained wood wall, and applied a little whitewash to a small area knowing that it would be covered with cabinets in the near future. The cabinets are in, but a small strip of the whitewash was not covered by the cabinets. Does anyone know of a way to remove the whitewash without stripping the wood and restaining? Thank you.
Your best bet would be to strip the wood and start over. Not just the small area, the entire wall. If not, that will draw your eye more then the white paint.

If it is a TRUE white wash & not a paint try Vinegar it will remove Lime White Wash.
It is paint diluted by water. :( But, I will try the vinegar.
It would be a major issue to strip all of the wall (entire wall). I guess I might have to live with it or figure out another way of fixing it.
