Where to find Cedar that is 2 inches x 1 inch to replace rotten Brick Mold???

Replaced my garage side door a couple years back and the brick molding or that is what they seem to call it that came with the prehung exterior door is rotten up about 6 inches. I am looking to try and replace it with Cedar but my local Home Depot does not carry anything that large in either dimension. Mostly only 3/4 thick. I need it to be 2 inch by 1 inch dimension wood that is cedar to hold up to the eat sun and weather and cedar I am told would up best than pine and prefer to stay away from treated to be able to get paint to stick to it.

Any suggestions on who might carry it without having to order it maybe Lowes or Menards being it might be a drive to get there?

Just want it to last a while longer to the weather.

Thanks,

It is likely something that you will have to mill yourself or have milled for you. You will be hard pressed to find nominally dimensioned lumber, because of the milling process to make it smooth, it ends up 1/4" to 1/2" less than the actual dimension, for instance a 1x4 is actually 3/4"x3-1/2" and a 2x4 is 1-1/2"x3-1/2".

Any cabinet shop could make the pieces for you if you do not have the tools or ability to do it yourself.

Most HomeDepot's carry vinyl brick mould.
