When we purchased our home, we noticed under the carport that some type of concrete repair had been made on the foundation where the masonite met the wall. This is the exterior wall of our utility room. At the time the house was vacant and the realtor had no knowledge of any leaks or repairs from the inspector. Now ( couple of years later )we have noticed that when the washer runs and drains, the concrete "sweats" around this area. We tried going behind the washer through the dry wall to see if a pipe was cracked, etc. but cannot see the problem.
Would the pipe be cracked in the foundation(concrete) and how could that have occured and it passed inspection?
And if so, what to do?
Is this a DIY job or do I need to take out a loan?
