Give the jigsaw to me, I'll put it to good use making a loony bin for this cast of characters. :D;)

I'll make sure to dovetail the corners so that these critters can't escape! :p

I am replacing my existing electric downdraft cooktop in an island with a larger LP model Jenn-Air.

This will require me to use the jigsaw to cut the opening larger to accommodate the Jenn-Air, which is 45" wide vs the existing 30" electric.

I would love to test out the jigsaw to do this job! My existing el' cheapo jigsaw gave me fits when I had to use it to do a similar counter top cut out for a larger sink last summer.

Here's a tip, put painters tape on the sole plate and use a downward cutting blade to minimize tear out and chips on the top.
