walls and floor

We recently had a flood in the basement. I had to have the carpet and most of the drywall removed by a mold remediation company. My finished basement is now unfinished. I am thinking of tiling the floor and replacing the drywall, but am not sure what to do first.

The flood was due to a blackout and loss of the sump pump.

Is ceramic tile a good idea in the basement?

Thanks

Re: walls and floor

I suggest a wood parquet is good, tiles are very slippery to the toddlers and oldies...
