Wall Surfaces for 3M Picture Hanging Strips

I hope this is the logical choice to post this question.  My 1930s bungalow has wainscotted walls. I've got artwork I have not been able to display because I haven't wanted to add nail holes (for obvious reasons) and have been hesitant to try these strips.

I researched 3M's site about what surfaces will work, but wainscotting wasn't included. I realize they may fall under the category of wood, I just thought I'd ask here to see it if anyone has used these strips on older wainscotting with good results.

1) Do they really will hold frames for the weights specified?

2) Instructions say to clean the wall first with isopropyl alcohol - will that harm the wood?

3) Do they really come off as easily as the videos make it look, without leaving marks on the wood?

Well, if anyone with experience using these strips has any info to help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm surprised at no response to my post. Surely there are lots of others with walls like mine that have this question or know the answer.
