Vinyl Fence Repair!

For holes or damage to vinyl fencing.

Materials needed:
1 can expanding insulation foam
1 can BONDO plastic body filler
Fine and rough sandpaper
Hand saw
Matching spray paint

For SMALL holes; under 1 1/2" diameter. (foam insulation NOT required)

Start by cleaning area with damp cloth. Then sand an area about 2 inches around hole. Next, mix small amount of BONDO, and apply over hole. Wait approx. 40 minutes to ensure dry. Sand flush to fence with rough sandpaper, then feather edges smooth with fine sandpaper. Clean all dust from area. Paint to match, clear coat if desired.

For LARGE holes; 1 1/2" diameter and up.

Start by cleaning area with damp cloth. Then sand an area about 2 inches around hole. Next, spray expanding foam insulation into hole in small bursts until foam completely fills the damaged area and slightly oozes out of the hole. Make sure not to overfill. Let sit overnight. When completely dry, use small hand saw to remove excess foam. Use rough sandpaper until foam is just below flush with suface of the fence. Next mix an amount of BONDO appropriate for hole size and apply over hole. Wait approx. 40 minutes to ensure dry. Sand flush to fence with rough sandpaper, then feather edges smooth with fine sandpaper. Clean all dust from area. Paint to match, clear coat if desired.
