We have a small two story home (new construction). The front room on the bottom floor has one internal wall and three external, unshared walls. It receives direct light from the south. There is a working a/c vent in the room, however, the room always reflects the temperature outside more so than the temperature of the rest of the house. A separate partial attic with blown in insulation is above the room. We've confirmed the vent is working properly and there are no "leaks" in the window seal. We've also installed solar screens which has not helped. Is this an insulation problem? If so, what do we need to do to solve it? Is this something only a professional should handle? It's our baby's room so we're determined to correct quickly as the Texas heat moves in.
Thanks in advance for any help.
