unique coatings and more

What do you think of this outfit out of Chicago? They promise they can make old wood surfaces look like new. I have a house that's over 100 years old. It never holds the paint. Should I go with this company? They claim that their "Home Shield" is "applied over a highly adhesive bonding agent which anchors itself onto the existing surface and will not crack, chip, fade or peel." Could this be true?
