undermount sink not staying put

Hi, We had a stainless steel undermount sink put in to our granite countertop appr. 2 years ago. About 6 months ago, the sink fell. The company came back and reglued it, we waited the recommended time before using it again. It fell again almost immediately. The company came back and reglued and we waited longer with a reinforcement from the bottom in place. Today, the sink fell again. What are we doing wrong? Could it have anything to do with the heat/humidity in Florida right now - we don't always have AC on. What about leaving dishes in the sink overnight? Any suggestions? Thanks,

Re: undermount sink not staying put

You could have them install clips under the sink to hold it in place if there is a lip around the top of the sink. They would have to drill into the counter from the bottom and epoxy an insert in that they could then screw the clips too. Hope this helps you out.

The method with clips is a good solution. Another option is to support the sink independently from the countertop by screwing cleats to the sides of the cabinet, and resting the sink on these. The sink would still need to be siliconed to the countertop to seal it, but the support would come from the cabinetry.
