Trick for cleaning up sawn edges on boards.

When I was building bird feeder for my wife's craft business I always had some rough edges where I cut the boards. New blade, old blade, umpteen teeth to the inch it didn't matter. My solution? I'd take the piece of the wood I just cut and rub it a couple times over the cut edge, holding it at about a 45 degree angle. Voila! The biggest splinters got knocked off as did most of the small one. And the cut board didn't suffer any scratches or round-overs.
