Toilet Water Surface Area

We have less than 10 year old toilets, they're elongated bowls. They do OK with flush performance.
The trouble is that the water level and bowl design makes only a 4 x 6 inch area covered by water. In other words, the front 2/3rds of the bottom of the bowl has no water over it; and we get streaks!
The level cannot be changed - it's a function of where the trap or weir is molded into the toilet.
I've noticed at home centers that there are a few toilets that advertise their "Water Surface Area" - but only a few, and I cannot find it on a spec sheet.
Is there another specification I should look for? Or do I ask them to allow me to fill each bowl and see where it settles?

Thanks, jz
