to replace or not to replace?

We have a home built in the early 1970's with it's original wood windows. Three of the windows have dry rot around the glass and warped wood, and one has glass that is fogging between the panes. Do we need to replace or repair the windows, or could we hold off? At what point does a window need to be replaced?

If your windows are dry rotted as you say, you are probably getting air in and you have failed glass, you need to replace the window. Patching will cost a lot of money and still look like a patch job.

calcats;)
