Technique for setting Kitchler cable in track?

We're doing a kitchen remodel and I just picked up the Kitchler Linear lighting system components for our under cabinet lights. Does anyone have a technique for quickly/easily setting the cable in the track. I tried prior to installing the track and found it very difficult to get the cable to 'set' in the groove in the track.

I can't see using my present method while leaning under the cabinet after the track is mounted since it was difficult enough holding it in front of me.

I'm thinking of trying something like the wheel tool that is used to set the gasket that holds a screen in place. Any thoughts or ideas?
