I have a sump in a pit in the basement the line is tied in with the kitchen sink when the sump kicks on we have a sewer smell, it didnot do this until after we put in a new sink but we used existing plumbing any suggestions?? thanks Val
well 1st things 1st,are you on town sewer?if you are your sump should NOT be tied into the sanitary drain, the best way to pipe a sump is to the outside away from the foundation, contrary to what u may read u will not get a recycling effect of the water being pumped out,you are merely keeping the water level below the slab
no I am on a septic and I am only putting in the water from the dehumidifier and our air conditioner drains in it . thanks
