Re: Spring Planting in our vegetable garden

Keith, you have room, plenty of room. You can grow enough to feed Africa.

We planted 12 tomato seedlings last week...5 are gone already. We need a camera to see who eats them up.

I know that cherry tomato plants have the fewest enemies around here, can't wait for last years' seeds in the ground to germinate.

Speaking of spring, it's a bit too early to plant where I am. But sitting on my back deck I just watched three large V formations of geese heading north. It won't be long. :)

In Western Pennsylvania it's the ground hog to signal the end of winter. In Maryland it's flocks of birds?

Once I came to North Baltimore in the month of May, and I felt frozen like an ice cube.

If you want to put your faith in a rodent dragged out of a nest go ahead. The birds have a little more sense.:p And they're tasty too.:)

A true story: We went to Gaungzhou, Guangdong, China, and stopped at an open market. I was previously warned not to go into this city's markets, but went in anyway.

We saw merchants selling rats for human consumption. We also saw other merchants selling BBQ rats.

No thanks.

That's only because they didn't put any bacon on them! Everything is better with bacon! :p
