Soffit has opening to outside, what do I do?

House built in 1992. Remodeling a kitchen. Removed 12" soffit all around the perimeter - fortunately absolutely no obstructions inside the house. However, in the corner of the kitchen, there is a12x6 opening cut into the outside wall with a mesh bird screen covering the opening. This opening goes along with a small eave outside. We have many of these vents all around the house in our roof line and wherever we have eaves. But since this one was previously bringing air into the entire soffit area, am I going to mess anything up when I close it up with drywall later?  The structural beams in the corner will prevent any airflow from just that corner penetrating any other part internally after I plastic and drywall. There will still be a volume of about 6 cubic feet that will still get the intake air.

Thanks for any advice
