Sinks

I have a very small bath that needs updating, 42" at the door entry because of linen closet, otherwise 80" wide and 87" length. I bought a 35 x 15 console to use as a vanity, as I hate the current pedestal. I have seen sinks as small as 11", just curious as to what size a can use on this vanity and what the spacing should be?

Did the vanity come with a counter top?

If not, you will to choose from what's available out there.

Search on line or visit showrooms.

Before buying see if you can use the sink worth a lick. Some are so shallow they are only good for guest baths where folks wash their hands after using the john.

The short answer is that any sink which will fit within the cabinet can be used. The longer answer is that you don't want a sink so small that using it is a pain- make it a useful size. Keep in mind how you want to use the remaining countertop area and don't use so big a sink that you lose that space. Style, shape, and color to suit what you like. Occasionally someone will have gotten the wall plumbing wrong which will make fitting the trap tough, so before choosing your sink take a peek to see how that will fit together- some sinks have the drain closer to the wall than others and while anything can be made to work it's easier to find a similar sink which has more space if you need that.
Replace the supply lines unless they're less than a year old; it's cheap insurance against needing to work on the sink again soon. If there are no shut-off valves (stops) for the fixture this is a good time to install them so future faucet or sink work will be easier.

Sounds like a very shallow lavatory cabinet. I built one close to that size for my SIL so she could get into the BR in her wheel chair. I had to go to an RV sink to get one that would fit.
