Caulk stained my shower pan? We have had to recaulk this shower every year. This last time we used a white silicon caulk. We also had dug out some of the grout between the shower pan and the first row of tiles and filled it with a foam roll/rope. Sure enough a year later it was molding and cracking just in parts. It took me days to remove all the white caulk to reveal this yellow stain that follows the exact line of the caulk. The tiles are not stained. It never happend before and it was not an issuse in our tub (different marterial) which was caulked with clear silicon. I have tried everything to remove this stain (bar keepers friend, bleech, soft scrub, CLR, kaboom mildew stain remover, peroxide with tartar). Is this stain from a reaction to the caulk and the shower basin material and what can I do to remove this stain? Any recomendation to recaulk vs. grout vs. Foam? Many thanks!
