Shower floor angle

I have gutted out the bathtub, walls and board and am starting over. I have a concrete floor that is level. The drain is to the front. How do I create a solid floor with an angle to send water to the drain?
The drain is in fine condition from the old tub and sits in a small "pit" which is the earth/sand below the house. A second related questions is when I create that angle, how do I deal with this pit which measures about 12" x 15" with a depth of about 6-7" to the ground from the top of the floor.
The front and back walls are 2x4 stud and will have cememnt board when ready for tiling.
The side wall of the shower is concrete foundation wall. All of this in on the lowest level of the house.
