Sandstone in kitchen countertops?

I would appreciate any advice, comments, opinions on this application of sandstone tiles.

Re: Sandstone in kitchen countertops?

You don't want a porous surface for your countertops. Marble, travertine, sandstone all look pretty, but will hold stains like no body's business. There is NO sealant that will act as armor to protect your sandstone.

For all questions tile related, you'll fare better over at the John Bridge Tile Forum where you can post pictures and search the extensive library. Tell them we sent you.
