Salvaged Honduran mahogany siding

We have just purchased a 1950's house that will be torn down (piece by piece and recycled where possible) so that we can build. We were surprised to learn that the house has Honduran mahogany siding. What is the best re-use for those boards (about 10" by 1"+ thick by various lengths)? Is it wise to use them for flooring since the species is not particularly hard? Is older mahogany better than what is currently be forested?
