salvage leaded glass

I purchased some salvaged leaded stained glass windows when a church was demolished. My husband is concerned about having them in the house because of potential lead contamination. They are old windows ( 1920's to 30's ) Is it a danger and is there a way to prevent risk?

It should be perfectly safe unless someone starts eating the lead came between the pieces of glass. You may want to check it may be copper foil instead of lead.

As long as the lead stays in the glass, I don't think it poses any risks.

There isn't any lead in the glass, the only lead is the lead came used to frame the pieces of glass.

Jeck, thanks,

Of course that's what I ment, lead between the pieces of glass, not "in" the glass.
