Room addition needs insulation BAD!!

Hi, our home has absolutely NO insulation in an addition. This room is cold enough to freeze my plants in the winter and stifling hot in the summer. I have read horror stories about adding foam insulation and having problems later but my electric bills are out of this world. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what steps we can take.

Start with insulating in the attic.

The walls can be insulated with blow-in insulation through small holes in the drywall, or by inserting batts through cuts in the drywall. Either way you will have to repair the walls. Keep in mind that your exterior walls most likely have blockings somewhere in the middle.
